Accountemps is looking for a Staff Accountant for a long term temporary-to-full-time position. The Staff Accountant is responsible for complex billing, preparing monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting. You will assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies. In addition, you will take part in compliance, communicate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This very involved Staff Accountant works to produce cash flow projections, resolve complex billing discrepancies, and assist with financial statements. Key responsibilities as Staff Accountant:

- Ready complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

- Partake in annual closing processes

- Oversee the creation of monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for reporting to management

- Support fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation

- Execute month end close, journal entries, with little supervision

- Commentate on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner

- Help with the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
