LABORATORY ANIMAL RESOURCES (IN-LARS-IUINA)
Job Summary
This position will assist the transportation coordinator with the transport of animals to different labs around the campus. They will also pull supplies and fill orders for the various facilities under the direction of LARC.
Duties include, but no limited to:
- Assist the transportation coordinator with daily deliveries (animals, equipment, supplies).
- Pull supplies and prep for delivery to satellite facilities (those not connected by underground tunnel).
- Assist with monitoring and management of the walk-in cooler.
- Assist the transportation coordinator with the maintenance of LARC vehicles.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and six months of animal care experience.
Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University.
Demonstrates a high commitment to quality. Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner. Strong communication and listening skills. Maintains a high degree of professionalism. Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills.
Working Conditions / Demands
Must be able to lift greater than 25 pounds. Repetitive lifting and bending.
