The Division of Infectious Diseases at Indiana University School of Medicine is committed to superb patient care, medical education and research in infectious diseases. Job Summary

This position will assist in project management for the East African International Epidemiology Databases to Evaluate AIDS (EA-IeDEA) consortium. This position will assist the Program Manager in pre and post award activities.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

- Prepare and submit Institutional Review Board (IRB) documents (i.e., informed consents, advertisements, educational materials, protocol summary, and protocols), OnCore submissions, and Eskenazi Health research documents. Compose and submit continuing reviews, amendments, and close out information. Communicate with sponsor and IRB regarding composition and review of documents. Track status of regulatory documents to ensure that IRB and sponsor timelines are met. Maintain current knowledge of regulatory affairs and/or issues. Monitor and ensure study team training and conflict of interest compliance.
- Organization, attendance, and documentation of IeDEA related, international and domestic conference calls .
- Multi-regional and EA region research concept, abstract, presentations and publication tracking.
- Coordination of scientific reports of the IeDEA grant related supplement submissions.
- Provide back up for online proposal submission websites i.e. ASSIST, Grants.gov, Workspace, eBRAP, Proposal Central, and others and point of contact for the website and coordination of content.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and three years of project coordination or related professional experience.

Combinations of education and related experience may be considered.

Familiarity with Protocol development and informed consent regulatory processes and procedures for clinical research, including Common Rule, Uniform Guidance, Single IRB, and Data security. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse international backgrounds and cultures. Knowledge of regulatory affairs including federal regulations and institutional standard operating procedures, such as GCPs, IRB processes and forms. Ability to process and articulate complex concepts, including those related to working internationally. Ability to work with a wide-range of constituents in the international, academic, for-profit, governmental and non-profit sectors. Ability to evaluate and utilize project management software. Ability to assist project teams in the preparation and submission of, reports, protocols, regulatory submissions and other deliverables in a deadline driven environment. Ability to write and edit content for websites, social media, and other online platforms. Ability to problem solve and multi-task. Passion for the ethical practice of global health research in a mission driven setting. Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with project management software and end note, or a similar citation writing software. Master's degree in public health or a health-related field.

Working Conditions / Demands

Ability to work 40 hours per week, including the flexibility to work extended hours as necessary to meet organizational needs. Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity to operate a keyboard and pointing device. Ability to travel around campus or to outside meetings as necessary. Ability to perform focused work with close attention to detail. Excellent speaking, writing, and listening skills. Some physical activity, such as pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and moving (up to 20 pounds).
