Takes direction from Center Director and/or Assistant Center Director with various tasks, including classroom coverage for breaks and during absences to maintain ratio, as well as clerical support and customer service related to maintaining efficient center operations.

Education and/or Experience:
HS Diploma or GED. Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate desired. Must have experience working in a clerical support position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office software, specifically MS Word, and ability to utilize internet and email applications.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Child Development Associate degree preferred.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Experience working with children ages 3-5 years.
Must be able to type at least 35 wpm.
Head Start experience preferred.
