A successful, growth-oriented, tech-driven company is seeking a Controller through Robert Half Finance to take responsibility for its accounting and clerical department. This full-time position is for a Controller who will work in the Indianapolis, Indiana region. The ideal candidate for this position can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. Your responsibilities in this role

- Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation

- Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports

- Assure client expectations are met by reviewing deliverables of self and team

- Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management

- Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required

- Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis

- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor on a monthly basis

- Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

- Flexible in completing tasks beyond formal job responsibilities

- Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual

- Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
