In this leadership role, you will manage an accounting and clerical department. As the Controller, you will plan and direct all accounting operational functions, manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assess accounting and internal control systems, and guide departmental staff. The full-time Controller position is situated in the Indianapolis, Indiana area.

Key responsibilities

- Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis

- Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management

- Complete tasks beyond formal job responsibilities

- Work closely with executive team and partners to facilitate efficient and effective firm-wide operation

- Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection

- Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

- Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed

- Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

- Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

- Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners

- Analyze deliverables of self and team to confirm they meet client expectations
