Robert Half Direct is seeking an Infrastructure and Security Services Manager for a full-time opportunity to work at a school district.


* Mentor subordinates (network, server and security team members) to improve performance and assume leadership responsibilities
* Provide evidence of delegation and trust in subordinates
* Prioritize employee evaluation over competing commitments
* Ensure responsive end user support for network, server and security-related issues
* Lead timely resolution of infrastructure and security incidents and problems
* Develop, implement, maintain and enforce procedures for infrastructure and data security administration, maintenance and project management
* Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all technology infrastructure systems, including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, security, wireless implementations, physical and virtual servers, data storage, data center, etc.
* Test network and server performance and provide associated reports
* Establish, monitor and report service level targets
* Manage IT infrastructure assets, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation
* Oversee administration of all computer security systems to fully secure information, computer, network and processing systems
* Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent network, server and security risks and activities
* Actively solicit input from end users and key stakeholders to continuously enhance infrastructure systems and support.
* Assume ownership of network, server and security equipment to improve the overall technology environment
* Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scopes of work, and other documentation for technology infrastructure projects and associated efforts
* Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure infrastructure-specific products and services
* Lead timely deployment, installation and/or modification of infrastructure equipment
* Develop, document, communicate, and enforce technology and data security standards and policies based on industry-standard best practices
* Promote and oversee strategic security relationships with external entities, including government, vendors, and partner organizations
* Contribute to technology department planning, goal-setting, and decision making processes
* Design and implement short- and long-term plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities
* Conduct feasibility studies and other research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards for infrastructure procurement and development
* Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans, procedures, audits, and enhancements
* Develop and communicate technology security strategies and plans to executive team, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders
* Coordinate the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future security technologies using a risk-based assessment methodology
* Provide the Chief Technology Officer with background material as needed and/or requested
* Model professional, ethical and respectful behavior
* Effectively communicate with building and department staff
* Develop positive and collaborative relationships with colleagues, building administrators and instructional staff
* Create an open, visible and accessible technology support environment
