The Manager of Human Resources is responsible for all Human Resources functions and activities within the operations facility. This position will manage company policies and procedures; manage all functional areas within Human Resources to include, but not limited to employee relations, performance management, talent development, compensation administration, benefits, training, and recruitment. Also, the HR Manager will keep the management team informed of changes in employment law, as well as ensure legal compliance



  • Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets management information needs; prepares activities reports for guidance of management; participates in negotiating collective bargaining agreements; and represents organization at personnel related hearings and investigations.

  • Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local ordinance; establishes uniform correspondence procedures; coordinates activities of various clerical workers within department; reviews clerical and personnel records to insure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness; and formulates procedures for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.

  • Recruits, interviews, and selects employees to fill vacant positions; plans and conducts new employee orientations to foster positive attitude toward company goals.

  • Verifies adherence to terms of labor contract, coordinates and investigates union grievances. Furnishes data concerning labor practices and negotiations.  Maintains a positive working relationship with union leaders.

  • Coordinates office operations and procedures such as, clerical services, payroll, and requisition of supplies.

  • Keeps a record of insurance coverage, benefits and retirement plans, and personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations; verifies adherence to terms of labor contract; furnishes data concerning labor practices and negotiations.

  • Responsible for audits of plans and coordination of compliance filings.

  • Counsels employees and managers on matters of company policy and disciplinary measures.

  • Complies with all environmental, health, & safety programs.

  • Organizes and implements employee relations activities.

  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
