The Marketing Specialist (Automation) is primarily accountable for supporting the execution of multi-channel campaigns, including QA testing, management of lists and seed lists, communicating changes, gathering approvals, sends, reporting and assisting in the building out of marketing automation workflows using SalesForce Marketing Cloud. This position is responsible for managing dynamic email marketing, text and push notification campaigns targeted to our B2B audience, and acts as an automations specialist for the business. Responsible for creating, executing and managing direct marketing campaigns including building journeys, automations, analytics and reporting activities. This role reports to the Director of Product Marketing.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Own end-to-end marketing automation implementation process to support audience segmentation, campaign logistics, build, post campaign results and analysis

  • Develop, execute, and measure compelling email, text and push notifications campaigns to drive engagement, conversion, and communication with our target audiences

  • Work with Operations and SalesForce specialists to carry out segmentation of our customer database and implement re-engagement journeys and strategies

  • Manage nurture campaigns in collaboration with our content team and other stakeholders to guide prospects and customers through appropriate funnels

  • Work with the in-house creative team to co-ordinate production of message design, subject lines and copy

  • Run A/B tests on campaigns to establish effective approaches

  • Responsible for delivering all analytics and complete campaign reporting including lead generation data and activities

  • Work with our Analytics team to create and maintain lists, data extensions, emails, landing pages, programs, forms, reports and surveys

  • Develop, execute and report external and internal surveys such as NPS, brand perception, purchase intention, customer behavior, etc

Educational Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent

  • 3-5 years tactical, hands-on experience in email marketing and marketing automation, developing and implementing automated marketing campaigns

  • Advanced, hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget) including Data Extensions, Automation Studio and Journey Builder

  • Knowledge of best practices for email deployment practices, data, analytics, segmentation, list management, dynamic content, testing methodologies, deliverability, etc.

  • Understanding of email marketing operations, technology, platforms, databases and email architecture

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel to provide accurate and meaningful analytics on all email marketing campaigns and ad hoc email deployments; hands-on familiarity with analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, Google Analytics)

  • Experience in integrating with Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud to push/pull data

  • Experience with survey tools such as GetFeedback: use, integration with emails, Salesforce, landing pages and complex results analysis

  • Basic understanding of US and Canada’s Anti-Spam regulation

  • Self-driven, extremely motivated, and takes initiative

  • Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced environment, able to prioritize/meet deadlines within specific time constraints

  • A team player, this position works closely with the entire marketing team and many internal partners

  • Strong analytical mindset

  • Knowledge of AMP script & SQL an asset
