Description

This mechanical designer will spend 90% of their time in Autodesk Inventor designing, making modifications, and assembling components for audio visual equipment. Their customers submit architectural prints of the 3 dimensional rooms/walls and this designer will read the structural design to see where the mechanical parts need to be structurally connected. Will also meet with fabricators on the production floor to see the product and answer questions, communicate back and forth with customers over the phone and directly submit 3D models via email. Will work together with a team of 9 designers to tackle the 200+ open jobs.

Will work 8-5pm and on average work 8 hours of OT. This person will choose when they work their overtime! Summer hours are busiest

Must Have:
1. 3-4 years of Autodesk Inventor 2D and 3D modeling experience, specifically with mechanical assemblies
2. Ability to read and understand architectural prints (take 3 dimensional walls and attach mechanical structures)
3. Good written (email) and verbal communication skills
4. Ability to work in a fast pace, high-volume environment (sense of urgency, juggling multiple projects)

Nice to Have:
1. Revit or Solidworks CAD experience
2. Experience designing steel tubing structures
3. Architectural or structural design experience
4. Associates Degree or Inventor Certified
