Job Summary

The Mental Health Program Coordinator provides overall day to day operational support for the Center of Mental Health Services. Coordinates the administrative and program support for the center's accounting, decision support, reporting, education and clinical mission. Under the direction of the Director of Mental Health Services, executes the centralization of delivery, development, and oversight of psychological, psychiatric, and wellness services for medical trainees across the nine campuses for IUSM. A key role of this position is to facilitate the cohesive institution of the delivery of mental health services for IUSM medical trainees statewide. Works with the Mental Health Services team to develop, implement, and assess mental health and wellness programs across the regional campuses of IUSM while ensuring high standards of patient care.

The Mental Health Program Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for the center and is responsible for coordinating the delivery of these services by acting as a liaison with patients, referral sources, faculty, staff, and adjuncts.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in an office management position which included project planning experience and/or complex organizational skills for multiple/diverse office functions.

Combination of education and related experience will be considered.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Survey Monkey). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to integrate and adapt within a flexible, evolving program. Ability to prioritize various projects with daily operational duties and complete all projects on schedule with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to work independently and as an effective team member.

Preferred Qualifications

Some budgetary responsibilities. Familiarity with School of Medicine System. Electronic Health Record experience. Proficiency with EndNote.

Working Conditions / Demands

Able to detect, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time. Will need to navigate to buildings on campus as well as the other 9 IUSM locations.
