MISSION: The mission of Windrose Health Network, Inc., (“WHN”) is to improve the health status of the patients and communities it serves by providing affordable, high-quality, holistic, family-oriented primary & preventive healthcare services - - with a particular emphasis on helping the medically underserved and vulnerable residents.

Windrose Health Network, located Johnson County is looking for a full-time Nurse Manager. A WHN Nurse Manager is responsible for patient management, both before and after patient receives clinical services. He/she assists the site Practice Manager in supervising the nursing and medical support staff that provides direct patient care. The Nurse Manager will be interacting with a diverse patient population. Public health knowledge is important.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING:

A. A qualified candidate will have completed training as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN), as well as have a current Indiana nursing license.

B. A qualified candidate must have at least three (3) years of work experience as a nurse in an ambulatory or primary care outpatient clinic, having worked directly with a physician or mid-level practitioner in the delivery of medical services to patients. He/she must be certified in CPR.

C. A qualified candidate must have a working knowledge of at least one word processing software package (preferably Microsoft Word) and one spreadsheet development software package (preferably MicroSoft Excel or MicroSoft Access). A working knowledge of at least one electronic medical record (EMR) is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: This position requires:

A. Knowledge of the delivery of ambulatory medical care;

B. Maintaining a current license as a medical professional in the State of Indiana as well as the expertise to function as a nurse;

C. Knowledge of the daily operations of a primary care, outpatient medical clinic;

D. Time management and project management skills – the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks quickly and efficiently;

E. Knowledge of and skill with electronic record and practice management systems;

F. good interpersonal skills when it comes to building and maintaining effective business/work
