A typical work week includes an on-call rotation as well as maintenance window deployments taking place early Sunday mornings. These functions are on a rotation schedule and shared with the entire team. Individuals with experience supporting or proficient in navigating Microsoft Windows and that are open to receiving the training and following protocol will be considered. Excellent documentation and communication skills are required and are critical for success as well as the ability to work together with the deployment team as a unit.
General Comments
To boil this down, we need to find an IS/IT graduate with a few of years' experience outside of school and has worked in a highly regulated environment, preferably FDA. They will be checking the new code against Covance regulations/SOP's and if the code meets the standards, giving the all clear to release the code. If the code does not meet the standards, we need non-passive type candidates who can reach back out to the developers to get them to change their coding so that it meets the Covance standards. Look for people who may have worked in QC or validation. Covance will teach our resources all the Covance standards. Candidates must have a basic understand of applications, hence, finding someone with an IT/IS degree
A qualified developer would not want to do this work. There is no coding or development work to be done. This work is simply making sure code follows guidelines.
