Specimen Processors Needed- Multiple Shifts Available
This lab has many types of testing (microbiology, chemistry, hematology, serology/kit, immunology, etc). You will support the Specimen Management department. This role will be working with the techs and other scientists in primarily plating cultures, loading bloods on instruments, and other general specimen processing.
-Specimen presort and accessioning
-Pickup and delivery of processed specimens to the testing departments,
-Imaging, centrifugation and aliquoting
Other duties could include processing blood/urine/other specimens, accessioning, order entry, processing, testing, centrifuging or working with medical lab instrumentation, and reporting of waived testing as allowed by organizational and CLIA guidelines.That would involve various technical and clerical functions, under the supervision of the supervisor or team lead.
1) High School Diploma or GED
2) 1 year of phlebotomy and/or healthcare lab/processing-they prefer experience from industry over schooling
