Beacon Hill Technologies is seeking experienced Desktop Support Technician to join a growing client of ours. This Desktop Support Technician will provide end user support to many small businesses. The Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for fielding incoming support emails and phone calls, documenting the issue and assessing the best plan of action to reach resolution. We need a Technician that is able to provide exceptional customer service as well as strong troubleshooting/analytical skills. A typical day will involve troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving problems related to use accounts, desktops, laptops, operating systems, hardware and software. This person will also document problems and conversations to create a log that can be referenced by other technicians and for training purposes. If you are looking for a long term position within a smaller, managed services organization this is a great opportunity to get to be hands on with a width breath of technical and infrastructure related issues.
Must have at least 2 years experience as a PC Technician
Experience imaging pcs and laptops using a variety of imaging techniques
Experience supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 10
Reliable form of transportation
Strong customer service skills
Clear communication skills including verbal and written
Ability to follow directions and have a strong attention to detail
Experience providing remote IT support in a Remote Desktop capacity
Basic networking knowledge and understanding of frontline troubleshooting procedures
Experience with user account management including Active Directory and O365
Advanced knowledge of Windows PC troubleshooting and support
Experience working with and documenting user issues within a ticketing system
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Excellent problem solving skills demonstrating root-cause-analysis solutions
Ability to communicate technology issues and technical concepts to various levels of users and stake holders in uncomplicated non-technical way
Demonstrate confidence in technical knowledge without coming off as arrogant or a know it all
Strong time management skills
CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ certification a plus
MAC OS familiarity
Windows Server and Active Directory experience desired
