Medical Transportation drivers are responsible for transporting clients to their destinations safely and on time. (Mobility of some patients may require physically assisting clients from vehicle to inside location)
Drive and transport/assist members and customers in all types of weather conditions to and from pre-determined destinations as required.
Preview assigned trips on digital tablets or written directions with instructions. Plan daily schedule and ensure clients can be transported to appointments schedule per contractual requirements.
Accurately complete and return daily driver logs, official forms or miscellaneous paperwork in a timely manner. Accurately record hours via remote time clock.
Maintain clear and effective verbal and electronic communication with supervisor, dispatch staff, mechanics, and other personnel as needed.
Complete vehicle checklist daily. Record and report communicate any mechanical issues as needed
Operate wheelchair lifts as needed
Adhere to company policies and protocol
May be on call for 24/7 occasionally
High School Diploma or GED required
CPR Certification / First Aid Certification will train
Current driver's license with the ability to obtain a valid Public Passenger Chauffeurs License
Have and maintain a good driving record (no DUIs, OWIs, no points, no suspensions or any other negative results)
Ability to pass a criminal background test and drug screen at all times
Skills and Abilities
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to follow detailed plans accurately, including both oral and written instructions
Ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach and lift
At least 18 years of age
One (1) Year of previous driving experience
Willingness to work diverse schedule, hours and days-based client needs
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
