POSITION OVERVIEW

Company is seeking a Vice President of Advanced Manufacturing for the access Solutions America 's segment team based in Indianapolis, IN. This postion is responsible for leading the manufacturing footprint strategy, capital planning and implementation, core vs non-core capability definition, advancement of core capabilities, vertical integration vs. sourcing determination, process capability improvement, and general manufacturing strategy harmonization with long term business commercial planning. The position will drive the core plant culture, grow the strategic manufacturing competencies, and oversee our core Lean strategies to drive and achievement of division 's goals for the P&L, including GM, COGS, and SG&A.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Leads and delivers on our Advance Manufacturing concepts, objectives, and footprint design
  • Ability to travel intensively at times, providing ground leadership to ensure project execution
  • Demonstrates Project Management skills in a matrix environment, including US, Mexico, Brazil, Canada, Germany, and Switzerland
  • Core strategy and project management capabilities with a proven track record of facility moves
  • Proven ability to coach, lead, and influence plant managers, including multi-site factory leadership
  • Proven track record of manufacturing site consolidation, transfer, and large capital projects.
  • Demonstrates ability to set and execute a capital deployment strategy, including capital assets and working capital
  • Supports all supplier quality initiatives with our procurement organization
  • Meets and exceeds all market driven lead times for quick ship operations
  • Ensures best in class operational efficiency for each plant, with demonstrated productivity gains
  • Directs operations of all departments and guides managers and supervisors in the performance of their job duties
  • Projects a positive image to peers and subordinates, the customers we serve, the industry in which we participate, and the community in which we live by producing a cost-efficient, quality product in a productive environment
  • Responsible for continual improvement of customer satisfaction through programs to reduce delinquencies, provide for on-time delivery, and meet customer quality and cost expectations

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor 's degree in Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering or Business Administration required
  • 15+ years of experience (10+ in a leadership role)
  • Master 's Degree and / or Lean Six Sigma Black Belts is highly desirable
  • Minimum of 15 years manufacturing and assembly experience with > $100M revenue levels
  • Parallel plant operations, start up, and closure operational management
  • Demonstrated increasing levels of management experience and full P&L management
  • Spanish and / or German language proficiency would be a plus
  • Manufacturing and assembly experience: Plating, machining, finishing, and assembly automation
  • Fabrication and assembly: PCBA assembly, SMT, and coating / potting process
  • Operational experience > $100M USD: Facility move, start up, and Operations
  • Lean operations > $20M capital: Cellular machine concepts, Material flow, and VSM
  • Matrix Leadership environment: Influence and lead international projects
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time dependent upon business needs
